Dollar Thrifty Names Scott Thompson New CFO

Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc., parent company of the Dollar Rent A Car and Thrifty Car Rental brands, recently named Scott L. Thompson as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Thompson succeeds Steven B. Hildebrand, who announced his retirement, effective March 31, after 20 years with the company. Hildebrand was available to the company as a consultant beginning April 1 for a 90-day period.

In his new role, Thompson will be responsible for treasury, accounting and finance, investor relations, tax, and audit functions. He will report to President and Chief Executive Gary L. Paxton.

Thompson previously served as executive vice president and CFO at Group 1 Automotive.
